Idalys Ortiz: All you need to know about Tulika Maan’s opponent in Judo Round of 32 at Paris Olympics 2024
Cuban legendary Judoka Idalys Ortiz, the London Olympics 2012 gold medallist and four-time Olympic medallist, will lock horns with the Indian judoka Tulika Maan in the Round of 32 contest at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Friday, August 2.
Interestingly, Ortiz is competing in her fifth Olympics in Paris. Previously in the Beijing 2008 Games, she secured a bronze medal in the +78 weight division. Later in the 2012 Olympics, she bagged a gold medal. Subsequently in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, she secured silver medals.
Additionally, Ortiz is the Pan American Games champion on four occasions in 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023. In the Pan American Championships, she clinched gold medals for 10 consecutive years from 2007 to 2016 before missing out in 2017.
