Indian weightlifting at Paris Olympics 2024: Venue, start and end dates, Indian contingent size
Mirabai Chanu will be the sole contender from India in the weightlifting category at the Paris Olympics 2024. She will participate in the women's 49kg division and would hope to win the country's maiden gold medal in the sport.
The Tokyo Olympics also saw Chanu secure a silver medal, while again being the only Indian participant in weightlifting. She notched up a combined lift of 202kg (87kg snatch; 115kg clean and jerk).
It will be interesting to see if Chanu can create history by winning a yellow metal this time.
