ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship 2024: Schedule, match timings, Indian contingent and live streaming details

The ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship 2024 for shotgun shooters is all set to start in Doha, scheduled to take place from Tuesday, April 23. Notably, a total of 12 Indian shooters are taking part in the qualifying campaign for the Paris Olympics 2024.

Interestingly, India can secure a total of four shotgun quotas - one each from men’s and women’s skeet and trap events. The top two shooters in each individual event, a maximum of one per country, provided they are eligible and their respective countries haven’t secured their full allocation for the event, will secure quotas from Doha.

Each country can obtain a maximum of 24 quotas in shooting for the Paris Olympics, with eight available in rifle and as many in pistol and shotgun events. However, in rifle and pistol events, Indian shooters have already secured their full quotas.

In the shotgun category, Indian shooters have managed to secure only four so far with four more available to clinch. Bhowneesh Mendiratta (men’s trap), Rajeshwari Kumari (women’s trap), Raiza Dhillon (women’s skeet), and Anantjeet Singh Naruka (men’s skeet) are the four shooters to secure their spots.

India will be represented by three shooters in each category. The top two shooters in each individual event, with a maximum of one per country, will secure quotas from Doha.

Regardless of the performance of the contingent in Doha, India is set to send its largest-ever Olympic shooting contingent to Paris Olympics 2024, surpassing the record of 15 shooters from the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
