Ecuadorian boxer Jose Gabriel will take on Indian amateur boxer Nishant Dev in a Round of 16 bout at the Paris Olympics 2024. Nishant is the bronze medalist in the 71 kg weight division at the IBA Men's World Boxing Championships in Uzbekistan.
Jose made the cut for the Paris Olympics 2024 after his excellent show at the Pan American Games 2023. Though he settled for a silver medal in the gold medal match after suffering a defeat to Marco Verde, he secured the Paris 2024 quota.
