Manu Bhaker gets an Eiffel Tower symbol next to her name on X

Manu Bhaker's outstanding performance at the Paris Olympics 2024 has earned her a unique honor on social media. The young Indian shooter now has an Eiffel Tower symbol next to her name on X (formerly Twitter). The Eiffel Tower is an iconic structure and heritage site in Paris.

Manu Bhaker’s performance at the Paris Olympics has been nothing short of extraordinary. At just 22 years old, she has already become a role model for many. Bhaker opened India's medal tally with a bronze in the 10m Air Pistol Women's event on Sunday, July 28, to become the first Indian woman shooter to win an Olympic medal.

Just two days later, on Tuesday, July 30, she continued to make headlines by adding another bronze to her and India's tally in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed event alongside Sarabjot Singh. This win not only doubled her medal count but also made her the first athlete from independent India to win multiple medals at a single Olympic Games and the first Indian shooter to win multiple medals.

Understanding the Eiffel Tower Symbol next to Manu Bhaker’s name on X (Twitter)

The addition of the Eiffel Tower symbol next to Bhaker’s name on X signifies her affiliation with the "Paris 2024 Medallists" account. This account celebrates athletes who have won medals at the Paris Olympics 2024. The symbol is a tribute to her success and a recognition of her status as a medalist at the Paris Games.

According to X's policies:

"Affiliation badges indicate that an account is connected to an organization on X. The affiliation badge contains the profile photo of a Verified Organization and is applied to all the affiliates of that organization. Affiliated accounts can have gold, grey, or blue checkmarks depending on the type of account. Affiliation badges are displayed on profiles, posts, timelines, notifications, DMs, search results, and elsewhere."

Manu Bhaker is, however, not yet done at the Paris Olympics 2024. She is set to feature in the 25m Air Pistol women’s event as well, with her eyes set on a third medal in Paris.
