Manu Bhaker likely to skip New Delhi Shooting World Cup in October: Reports

India's shooting star Manu Bhaker will most likely be skipping the upcoming Shooting World Cup, according to reports. The competition is scheduled to be held in New Delhi in October.

As per her coach, Jaspal Rana, Manu is keen on taking a three-month break after her success at the Paris Olympics 2024. The shooter clinched two bronze medals at the Games in Paris. Rana stated that the athlete has been training for a long time now and more than deserves a vacation.

"I am not sure whether she will be at the Shooting World Cup in October because she is taking a three-month break. It's a normal break, she has been training for a long time," Rana told PTI.

Apart from winning India its first medal at the Summer Games in Paris, Bhaker was also the nation's flag-bearer at the closing ceremony. She was accompanied by Indian hockey legend, PR Sreejesh, as the other flag-bearer. Manu returned to India today (August 13), and would be looking forward to spending time away from competition.
