“My dream of winning Olympic gold medals continues” - Manu Bhaker pens down a motivational message for her future goals
India’s shooting sensation Manu Bhaker continues striving for more success after her Paris Olympics 2024 exploits. At just 22 years old, Bhaker has already etched her name in the history of Indian sports.
Hailing from Goria, Haryana, she has come a long way since picking up the pistol as a teenager. With multiple World Cup, Commonwealth Games, and Youth Olympic medals to her name, Manu Bhaker is undoubtedly one of India’s brightest sporting talents. But for her, this is only the beginning.
“I was 14 when I started my journey in shooting. Never had I imagined I would reach this far. Once you start something, make sure you do everything possible to chase your dreams relentlessly, no matter how tough it gets,” Manu Bhaker wrote in a social media post.
Her words hold weight, especially considering her experiences at the Tokyo Olympics. There was a lot of hope riding on her performance, but a pistol malfunction during the event left Manu Bhaker in tears and dashed India's expectations. It took time for her to recover from the heartbreak, but she made a comeback at the Paris 2024 Olympics, winning two bronze medals.
Manu Bhaker’s story is far from over, though. She has achieved a lot, but her focus remains clear: winning Olympic gold.
“Stay focused, stay driven, and let your passion fuel your journey. Every small step forward brings you closer to greatness. Keep going, you’re capable of much more than you imagine! And, yes, my dream of winning Olympic gold medals continues,” Manu Bhaker added.
