Paris 2024 Olympics India Day 3 medal prediction
Sarabjot Singh had a heartbreak in the Individual Men’s 10m Air Pistol event, missing the finals by just a whisker. He will have a shot at redemption and what better partner could have asked for than Paris Olympics bronze medallist Manu Bhaker?
With both shooters in good form, the chances of a medal from these two look solid. They will, however, face tough competition from Ranxin Jian and Yu Xie as well as the Korean duo of Ye Jin Oh and Wonho Lee. Ramita Jindal and Arjun Singh Cheema will also be gunning for a medal and could spring up a surprise or two.
Besides, the Indian men’s archery team is also poised for a podium finish. Much like the women’s team, their ranking round performance has ensured a direct entry into the quarterfinals — where they take on either Turkey or Columbia.
With the women faltering in the last eight on Sunday, there’s bound to be some nervous energy. That said, the signs have been positive for the men’s team, with Dhiraj Bommadevara inspiring confidence with a fourth-place finish. The experience of the seasoned Tarundeep Rai and Pravin Jadhav add weight to the side.
With all other Asian giants, including the Korean, Chinese and Japanese teams being in the other half, the chances of India making the final are the brightest they have ever been at the Olympics.
