Paris 2024 Olympics India Day 6 Preview: List of events, players in action, medal prediction

Day 6 of the 2024 Paris Olympics is absolutely packed as far as the Indian contingent is concerned, from the shooting range, which has given India two medals already, to the hockey and badminton arenas.

While big matches like the India vs Belgium hockey and the Lakshya Sen-HS Prannoy pre-quartefinal encounters are likely to draw the most attention, there are many chances of India bagging medals elsewhere.

However, before we get into that, let's take a look at the complete schedule for Indian athletes, featuring the likes of PV Sindhu and Nikhat Zareen, on Day 6 of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Unlike Day 5, where no medals were on offer for India, there are multiple Indians who will be in with a shot at a Paris Olympics medal on Thursday. Case in point, Swapnil Kusale.

The 29-year-old is a seasoned campaigner and will look to stand out in the field during the Men's 10m Rifle 3 Position Final. A medal, however, will be very difficult to secure, given that he just about made the cut for the finals at No. 7. A strong start will be key for the Indian if he wishes to stand any chance at competing for medal.

Similarly, the chances of a medal coming from the 20km Race Walk, both men and women, are remote. While both Priyanka and Akshdeep Singh have turned in admirable performances in the recent past, their personal bests will need to improve significantly for them to be in the medal contention. A podium finish, thus, remains a distant dream for India's track and field athletes too.
