Paris 2024 Olympics: What is Muhammed Ajmal's personal best in men's 4x400m relay?
Muhammed Ajmal will be a part of the Indian men's 4x400m relay squad at the Paris Olympics 2024. Ajmal will be in action on August 9 at the iconic Stade de France Stadium.
Ajmal's personal best in the men's 4x400m relay is also the national as well the Asian record, which came at the World Athletics Championships, Budapest in August 2023. He and other members, namely Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Amoj Jacob and Rajesh Ramesh, finished second with a timing of 2:59.05 in the heat round and then had a fifth-place finish in the final round.
2022 was a breakthrough year for Ajmal as he participated in a plethora of competitions and found success in most of them. He had gold medal finishes in the 400m events at the Indian Grand Prix in Thiruvanthapuram, Qosanov Memorial, Central Stadium in Almaty and the Indian National Games in Gujarat.
In the men's 4x400m relay event at the National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships in Chennai, Ajmal and team members finished with gold by clocking 3:05.34.
The 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham saw Muhammed Ajmal finish sixth in the men's 4x400m relay event with a timing of 3:05.51.
Ajmal participated in all three events at the Asian Games in 2023. Apart from finishing fifth in the men's 400m, he and the team members were terrific to bag a gold medal in the men's 4x400m relay and a silver in the mixed 4x400m relay events.
In 2023, the talented athlete produced his personal best timing of 45.36 in the 400m at the Asian Athletics Championships in Bangkok.

It has been a standout year for Muhammed Ajmal in all three events. He finished with a gold medal at the National Open 400m Competition in Trivandrum, the Federation Cup in Bhubaneswar and the National Inter State Athletics Championships in Panchkula.
Meanwhile, Ajmal's participation in the mixed 4x400m relay event in Panchkula saw him secure a gold medal with a timing of 3:12.87.
In May, Ajmal and the men's 4x400m relay team qualified for the Paris Olympics after securing a silver medal at the World Athletics Relays in Bahamas with a timing of 3:03.23.
Coming into the Paris Olympics with good form, Muhammed Ajmal is expected to be one of the biggest medal contenders for India.
