Paris Olympics 2024 Badminton Points Table: Mixed Doubles updated standings after Day 3

All the group-stage games of the badminton mixed doubles at the Paris Olympics 2024 were completed on Monday, July 29. Eight teams have qualified for the quarter-finals. Here is what the points tables look like after Monday.

Group A

In Group A, the Chinese duo of Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong won all three matches and qualified for the quarter-finals with a points difference of +53. South Korea's Kim Won-ho and Jeong Na-eun finished in second place with one win and two losses and a points difference of -1.

French pair Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue ended with one win and two losses, with a points difference of -2, resulting in one point. They did not qualify for the knockout stage. Rinov Rivaldy and Pitha Haningtyas Mentari of Indonesia finished last in the group with one win and two losses. They also did not qualify for the knockout stage.

Group B

In Group B, Seo Seung-jae and Chae Yoo-jung of South Korea topped the group with a perfect record of three wins and a points difference of +5. Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai of Thailand finished in second place with two wins and one loss.

Robin Tabeling and Selena Piek of the Netherlands finished with one win and two losses. They had a points difference of -2 and did not qualify for the knockout stage. Koceila Mammeri and Tanina Mammeri, the Algerian pair, finished last in the group with a points difference of -6.

Group C

Yuta Watanabe and Arisa Higashino of Japan finished at the top of the group with a perfect record of two wins, allowing them to qualify for the quarter-finals. Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet of Hong Kong secured second place with one win and one loss. It allowed them to qualify for the knockout stage.

Ye Hong-wei and Lee Chia-hsin of Taiwan finished in third place, failing to win a single match. Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Bøje withdrew from the tournament before it began.

Group D

Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei of Malaysia topped the group with a perfect record of three wins and a points difference of +5. Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping, the Chinese pair, finished in second place with two wins and one loss. They had a points difference of +3, which allowed them to qualify for the knockout stage with two points.

Terry Hee and Jessica Tan ended the group with one win and two losses. They had a points difference of -2 and did not qualify for the knockout stage. Vinson Chiu and Jennie Gai, the American pair, finished last in the group and failed to win a single game.

Paris Olympics 2024: Quarter-finals in Mixed Doubles to be played on Wednesday

All the eight mixed doubles teams that have qualified for the badminton quarter-finals are from Asia. All these matches will be played on Wednesday, July 31. Two teams from China and South Korea have made it to the quarter-finals. The other four teams are Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
