The remaining two teams in the group are from Malaysia and Indonesia. They will be facing each other on Tuesday. The Malaysian duo of Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan are still in the race to make it to the quarter-finals.

Like Group A, the fate of Group B will be decided on Tuesday. It was also a rest day for the players in this group. China is in first place in Group B, followed by Bulgaria, Hong Kong, and the United States.

The first game on Tuesday will be a battle between two sister teams from Bulgaria and the United States. Gabriela Stoeva and her younger Stefani Stoeva from Bulgaria will take on Annie Xu and her twin sister, Kerry Xu.

In the second game of the day, the Chinese duo of Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning will look for their third victory against Yeung Nga Ting and Yeung Pui Lam from Hong Kong.

Both the matches of Group C were one-sided on Monday. The Indian duo of Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa lost their match against the Japanese team consisting of Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida. The Indian team has slipped to fourth place from second with a point difference of -23, while the Japanese team is still in first position with a point difference of +29.

The South Korean duo of Kim So-yeong and Kong Hee-yong defeated the Australian team of Setyana Mapasa and Angela Yu. South Korea is still in second place with two points and a point difference of +25. Australia has moved to third place from fourth and has a point difference of -23.

The South Korean duo of Baek Ha-na and Lee So-hee registered their first victory in Paris over the French duo of Margot Lambert and Anne Tran. South Korea has moved to second place from third with a point difference of +23. France is still ranked in fourth position and has a point difference of -26.

The duo of Maiken Fruergaard and Sara Thygesen from Denmark defeated Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai from Thailand in the second game of the day of Group D. Thailand had won the first set by 22-20. Denmark made a comeback in the next two rounds to seal this close encounter.

Denmark has moved to first place from second with a point difference of +1, while Thailand has slipped to third position from second and has a point difference of +3.


Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa crash out of Paris Olympics 2024

The Indian duo of Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa crashed out of the Paris Olympics 2024 after three consecutive losses. Ashwini Ponnappa also confirmed that Paris 2024 was her last Olympics.
