Paris Olympics 2024 Hockey Most Goals: Updated list of top goalscorers after the tournament

Leading India to a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, captain Harmanpreet Singh emerged as the tournament's top goal-scorer with an impressive tally of 10 goals. In the bronze-medal match against Spain, Harmanpreet scored a brace as India rallied from a goal down to clinch a hard-fought 2-1 victory at the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium in Colombes.

Harmanpreet Singh's feat of scoring 10 goals in Paris Olympics 2024 surpassed his closest rival, Australia's Blake Govers, who netted seven goals in the tournament. Germany's Christopher Ruhr also made his presence felt, scoring five goals and showcasing his versatility on the field. Rühr's agility and quick thinking allowed him to capitalize on scoring opportunities.

Belgium's Alexander Hendrickx, a well-known penalty corner specialist, also finished with five goals. Jip Janssen of the Netherlands was another player who made an impact, also scoring five goals as well.

Argentina's José Basterra and Maico Casella, alongside France's Timothée Clément and Justus Weigand of Germany, were among the other notable scorers, each netting four goals in Paris Olympics 2024.


India secure their second consecutive bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024

The Indian men’s hockey team secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Spain to win the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, providing a fitting farewell to veteran goalkeeper PR Sreejesh in his final international match.

Spain took an early lead with a penalty stroke by Marc Miralles, but India quickly responded with two goals in succession (30’, 33’), securing their second consecutive Olympic bronze and a record-extending 13th hockey medal.

This victory marked the first time India won back-to-back Olympic medals in hockey since 1968 and 1972. PR Sreejesh played a pivotal role, making crucial saves in the final minutes to maintain India’s lead.

His performance in this match ensured a triumphant conclusion to his storied career, as India celebrated yet another milestone in its illustrious hockey history.
