[Watch] Bhaker family on cloud nine post Manu Bhaker's medal quest in Paris Olympics
The Bhaker family is currently on cloud nine and why shouldn't they be? Their daughter Manu Bhaker has made India proud not once but twice and that too in a short span of three days.
On July 28, Manu Bhaker became the first woman shooter from India to win a medal at the Summer Games, after she clinched a bronze at the ongoing Paris Olympics 2024 in the women's 10m air pistol event.
And now, along with her teammate Sarabjot Singh, Manu Bhaker has created a new record by winning a bronze in the mixed team 10m air pistol event by defeating heavyweights South Korea. Manu Bhaker is notably the third Indian post independence who has now won two medals at the Summer Olympics.
In a video posted by ANI, Manu Bhaker's parents were seen celebrating her triumph by wrapping the Indian flag around their body. Watch the video below:
Former Sports Ministers of India, Kiren Rijiju and Anurag Thakur, also shared their heartfelt compliments to the 22-year-old shooter from Haryana. Rijiju wrote on X:

India's top performances in shooting at Paris Olympics till now
Manu Bhaker has been a shining star so far at the Paris Olympics. She has won one individual medal and one team medal with Sarabjot Singh, the only two won by India so far in the French capital. Apart from them, Arjun Babuta came closest to winning a medal yesterday in the men's 10m air rifle event. However, he ended fourth and narrowly missed out on a podium finish.
