[Watch] Paris Olympics 2024 star Manu Bhaker shows off dance moves at felicitation ceremony
Indian pistol shooter Manu Bhaker, who became a household name after winning two bronze medals at the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024, showed a relaxed side of herself when she broke into an impromptu dance routine at a felicitation ceremony arranged in her honor.
The 22-year-old was felicitated by the Velammal Nexus Group in Chennai. The shooting ace showed off her dance moves to the Bollywood song ‘Kala Chashma’, accompanied by a few school children.
Interestingly, Bhaker is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and trains in the art form under a dancer from Tamil Nadu.

Manu Bhaker scripted history at the Paris 2024 Games by becoming the first Indian athlete to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympic Games.
The shooter from Haryana won her first bronze medal at the women’s 10m air pistol event. She then added to her medal tally by clinching another bronze medal at the mixed 10m air pistol mixed team event along with her partner Sarabjot Singh.
Bhaker had the chance to improve her already historic record by winning a third bronze medal in the women’s 25m air pistol event but agonizingly finished in the fourth position.
What next for double Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker?
After a hectic schedule in the French capital, Manu Bhaker will take a deserved break from shooting for some time. As per a report shared by ET Online, the shooter is scheduled to take a three-month break from practice during which period she will focus on her hobbies such as horse riding and dancing.
As a result of her break, she will likely skip the ISSF World Cup in New Delhi, which is scheduled to start on October 13.
If Bhaker chooses to skip the Shooting World Cup, she will likely not be in any ISSF competitions for 2024, as no such events have been scheduled so far. However, she will look to recharge herself and get back on the range as soon as possible to bring her A-game for the upcoming 2026 Asian Games.
