Who will be a part of the Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony?
The grand opening ceremony will see around 10,500 athletes from around the world sail down the River Seine atop 160 boats.
The opening ceremony will start at 7:30 pm local time (11:00 pm IST), so viewers can enjoy most of the ceremony under daylight. The procession will go along a four-mile route through the Seine and end at the Trocadero area of Paris.
India is sending a contingent of 117 athletes and 140 support staff – the largest contingent to date – to take part in the Paris Olympics 2024. Badminton star PV Sindhu will be the female flag bearer for India, while paddler A Sharath Kamal will be the male counterpart.
