Kozul, 26, ranked 126th in the ITTF World Rankings, is making his second Olympic appearance after Tokyo 2021, where he competed in both men's singles and doubles but was eliminated in the first round by South Korean players.
Kozul faced Kamal at the WTT Feeder Budapest in July 2022, where Kamal won convincingly 4-1 (8-11, 11-1, 11-6, 11-5, 11-9). The Slovenian will aim to improve his performance against the experienced Indian paddler.
