His exceptional leap of 1.82 meters secured him the top spot on the podium. He also shattered a longstanding record set nine years ago by Paralympic medalist Sharad Kumar.
Earlier in July 2023, Shailesh showcased his talent on the world stage by winning a silver medal at the World Para Athletics Championships in Paris.
