The biggest fight ever in the history of boxing culminated on Saturday as Floyd Mayweather defeated Conor McGregor in 10 rounds via technical knockout. The American thus maintained his 100% win record intact and extended his streak to 50-0, cementing his status as one of the greatest of all time.

His opponent, the Notorious, on the other hand, was making his boxing debut and is the biggest names in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. Mayweather announced his retirement in 2015 but came back to the ring to take on the Irishman at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Both fighters are expected to pocket hefty sums after the match, with McGregor's earnings expected to be around $100 million and Mayweather's are likely to hover around the $300 million mark, thanks to the PPV and venue ticket sales, along with the personal sponsorships deals of the two.

The fight drew attention worldwide as McGregor did well to last the 10-round distance before fatigue caught up with him and Mayweather came in with a flurry of punches to complete a technical knockout win. Various celebrities and athletes tweeted about the match, including the greatest Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps, who congratulated both the fighters.

However, a few hours back, he jokingly challenged McGregor to a race in the pool, given how he brazenly challenged Mayweather, one of the greatest boxers ever, despite having no experience of fighting in the ring. He posted a photo on Twitter and asked McGregor, "All of this talk... Should we race as well??"

Understandably, people on Twitter responded hilariously, poking fun at McGregor and his trash talks from before the Mayweather match. People also alluded to Phelps' previous race against a CGI-generated Great White Shark for a TV show, where the swimmer lost out to the oceanic predator by two seconds. Here are the best reactions!
