2019 Australian Open, Day 7: Schedule and Order of Play

The third round matches of the 2019 Australian Open Men's Singles and Women's Singles are done and dusted and we are set to move to the phase where the fans could witness heavyweights and top-ranked players take on each other. Big names including the likes of Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Simona Halep etc. won their third-round matches today (day 6) and progressed to the next round.

Come tomorrow, the above-mentioned names will have an off day while the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Marin Cilic, and Maria Sharapova will be in action on day 7, playing their fourth round matches.

Day 7 will have over 40 matches across all the courts at the Melbourne Park and the action will begin at 11 AM AEDT (5:30 AM IST).

Eighth seed Petra Kvitova will get the proceedings underway on Rod Laver Arena as she is up against teenage sensation Amanda Anisimova in the first match of the day. Following this, local favourite and 15th seed Ashleigh Barty will face the 30th seed Maria Sharapova. The day session on Rod Laver Arena will come to an end with second seed and 2009 champion Rafael Nadal facing Tomas Berdych in a clash that promises to be a thriller.

Third seed and two-time defending champion Federer will get the night session underway as he plays Greek youngster and 14th seed Stefanos Tsitsipas and the night comes to an end on the court with fifth seed Sloane Stephens facing a challenge from unseeded Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Junior Boys and Junior Girls will also be in action as their singles and doubles matches get underway on day 7.
