Anastasia Potapova and Alexander Shevchenko are one of two married couples that will be in action at this year’s US Open. Potapova and Shevchenko got married in 2023 in Russia.

The former will begin her US Open campaign against 23rd seed Leylah Fernandez in a highly anticipated first-round match on Tuesday. Shevchenko, meanwhile, is set to start against Dominik Koepfer on Monday. Neither of them has been past the second round at the New York Major.

Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils join Potapova and Shevchenko as the other married couple participating in US Open 2024. The couple got married on July 2021 and welcomed their daughter, Skai, in October 2022.

Svitolina and Monfils are among the most talked-about couples in tennis, frequently seen together at ATP and WTA crossover events, supporting each other at their matches.

Svitolina will begin her US Open campaign against María Lourdes Carle in the first round on Monday while Monfils will take on Diego Schwartzman in what will be the Argentine's last appearance in Flushing Meadows.

The Ukrainian's best result in New York was reaching the semifinals in 2019, where she lost to Serena Williams while Monfils got that far in 2016 before losing to eventual runner-up Novak Djokovic.

Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur are another tennis couple that will feature at US Open 2024. The couple is frequently seen supporting one another courtside and have both produced some good performances so far in 2024.

Interestingly, Boulter and de Minaur have both won titles in the same week on two occasions this season. The first instance was in Acapulco and San Diego, where de Minaur flew to support Boulter after his victory in Mexico. They achieved a similar feat in June when Boulter won in Nottingham and de Minaur triumphed in ’s-Hertogenbosch.

Boulter is set to open her US Open campaign against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, while de Minaur will face Marcos Giron in his first-round match.

#2 Anna Kalinskaya and Jannik Sinner

Anna Kalinskaya and Jannik Sinner made headlines earlier this year with the announcement of their relationship, becoming one of the most talked-about couples in tennis.

Sinner confirmed their relationship at the French Open after rumors circulated on social media. Since then, they have been seen together frequently and have even given each other shout-outs during on-court interviews.

Seeded 15th at the US Open, Kalinskaya will begin her campaign against Lauren Davis on Tuesday. Men’s top seed Jannik Sinner will also be in action on Tuesday, facing Mackenzie McDonald.

Arguably the most talked-about couple in tennis, Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas continue to make headlines.

The pair recently triumphed in the inaugural Mixed Madness, a mixed doubles event that was part of the US Open Fan Week. They defeated Amanda Anisimova and Taylor Fritz in the final to be crowned champions, securing the $250,000 prize money.

Speaking to James Blake afterward, Tsitsipas described it as “one of the coolest date nights he could’ve asked for".

The pair first connected in May 2023 during the Italian Open and confirmed they were dating in June via a joint Instagram account. They caused a stir in the tennis world when they amicably split in May this year, only to reconcile two weeks later before the start of the French Open.

Seeded 26th, Badosa will begin her campaign at the New York Major against Viktorija Golubic on Monday. Tsitsipas, the 11th seed, will face Thanasi Kokkinakis in the opening round.
