Aircel Chennai Open 2015: 6 Indians Players advance to the next round in qualifiers
Six Indian Players including India’s No. 3 player Yuki Bhambri advanced to the second round of the Chennai Open qualifiers. Yuki Bhambri beat his Indian compatriot Sidharth Rawat 6-1, 6-3 in his first round qualifying match. Yuki’s oppenent in the next round is Vijay Sundar Prashanth who beat Poonacha when he retired midway through the match, Vijay Sundar was winning 6-1, 5-2 when he retired.
The other Indians who advanced were Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, Vinayak Kaza, Sasi Kumar Mukund and Vishnu Vardhan. Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan beat Lakshit Sood 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets and he is facing Bedene from Slovenia in the next round who beat Sumit Nagal 6-2, 6-0 in the first round. Vinayak Kaza rallied to beat Danai Udomchoke 3-6 6-4 6-2 and will take on Alexander Kudryavtsev from Russia in the next round, Kudryavtsev beat Jayaprakash 6-7, 7-5, 6-2 in the first round.
Sasi Kumar Mukund beat Fahad Mohammed 6-3, 6-4 and will face Torebko from Germany in the second round. Torebko beat Marach when he retired at 6-3, 1-0. Vishnu Vardhan beat Prabodh 6-1, 6-3 and Marchenko will be his next opponent in the second round. Marchenko beat Cermak 6-3, 6-4 in the first round.
