Since turning professional in 2017, Alexei Popyrin has won three ATP singles titles to date, the 2021 Singapore Open, the 2023 Umag Open and 2024 Canadian Open. At the 2023 Umag Open, he defeated Stan Wawrinka in the final. Popyrin achieved his career-high singles ranking of No. 23 in August 2024.

Popyrin made it to his first Masters quarterfinals at the 2023 Western & Southern Open after entering the tournament as a lucky loser.
