Andy Murray aims to return in December

Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is aiming to get back on the ATP grind as he aims to participate in Brisbane this December.

Murray’s spokesperson told CNN that his client is aiming to return to the court by the end of November to play an exhibition tournament in Barbados before he stepped out on the court in Brisbane. However, everything will depend on his rehabilitation programme.

World number four underwent a back injury, side-lining him from the professional tour since September. The last time he took the court was in his quarter-final loss to Stanislas Wawrinka when he was looking to defend his US Open crown.

Murray’s back has prone to injury since the beginning of the year which eventually compelled him to withdraw from the French Open.
