Andy Murray to become a father
Scottish tennis star and current World No. 3 Andy Murray and wife Kim are to be parents, his agent has confirmed. The couple, who have been together since 2005, married earlier this year in April.
The ace has been in very good form recently, although he has just bowed out of the Citi Open after losing his opening match to world no. 53 Teymuraz Gabashvili of Russia.
Murray lost out at Wimbledon earlier this year to long-time rival Roger Federer, who beat him in the semis and went on to finish The Championships as runner-up after his final-round loss to World No 1 Novak Djokovic.
Sears is thought to be 12 weeks into the pregnancy, and the couple are expected to make an official announcement soon.
This will be the first child for the 28-year-old Murray and 27-year-old Kim.
Murray’s older brother, Jamie, is the World No. 1 in Doubles, and won the recently concluded Hamburg Open with doubles partner John Peers of Australia. Although his brother has crashed out of the Hamburg Open, the older Murray is currently still in the running. At the time of publication, Murray and Peers were playing the Bryan Brothers of the United States.
