Complete list of nominees for ATP Awards 2024 ft. Carlos Alcaraz, Jack Draper, Matteo Berrettini

The ATP Awards 2024 were revealed on Monday (November 25), and some of the sport's leading names were nominated for the same. The winners are decided by the players and coaches themselves by voting for their peers in the categories in which they're eligible to cast a vote.

Jannik Sinner and the duo of Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo clinched the ATP Award for the Player and Team of the Year, respectively. The award is given to the players who end the season atop the rankings.

Even if that wasn't the case, these three would've gotten it based on their achievements this year. The ATP Awards officially signal the end of a long season. On that note, here's a look at the nominees for this year's ATP Awards:

All three nominees overcame injury setbacks from the past season to taste success this year. Berrettini accomplished more than his fellow nominees and will be the favorite to win in this category. He won three titles this year and helped Italy defend their Davis Cup title as well.

Nishikori's comeback this season was interrupted by frequent injury breaks, but he still managed to play at a pretty decent level. He recently won a Challenger title and made the last eight at the Canadian Open as well. Despite contesting only 15 matches this season, Cilic also laid his hands on the winner's trophy and won the Hangzhou Open in a successful return to the tour.

Draper finally won his maiden ATP title in Stuttgart this season and followed it up with a semifinal at the US Open, his first at the Majors. He claimed his second title of the season at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna and peaked at No. 15 in the rankings.

Mpetshi Perricard also won his first two career titles this season and advanced to the fourth round of Wimbledon as a lucky loser. Machac reached his first tour-level final at the Geneva Open by beating Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, though he came up short in the summit clash. However, he did win the gold medal in mixed doubles at the Paris Olympics.

Tabilo secured the first two titles of his career this year as well and also made the last four at a Masters 1000 tournament for the first time. He also reached a career-high ranking of No. 19. All players stepped up from where they were last year, though Draper is the clear frontrunner in this category based on his results.

ATP Award for Newcomer of the Year - Jakub Mensik, Shang Juncheng

While the ATP Tour was injected with a healthy dose of newcomers this season, Mensik and Shang stood out from this year's fresh crop of players. Both made their top 50 debuts this season. The Czech youngster pushed Hubert Hurkacz to five sets at this year's Australian Open but fell shy of his first top 10 scalp.

Mensik secured his first win over a top 10 player en route to his maiden career final at the Qatar Open. He beat Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals before losing to Karen Khachanov. He reached his first Masters 1000 quarterfinal at the Shanghai Masters by ousting two top 10 players as well.

Shang won his maiden career title at the Chengdu Open and made the third round of the Australian Open and the US Open. While both gave a good account of themselves this season, winning a title could tip the scales in the Chinese teenager's favor.

The Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award is given to the player who has conducted himself with the utmost professionalism, and has upheld the integrity and image of the sport.

Alcaraz, Ruud, Dimitrov, and Thiem are some of the players who are known for their fairness, both on and off the court. The Spaniard won this award last year, while the Norwegian was bestowed with this honor in 2022.

ATP Award for Coach of the Year - Xavier Malisse, Emmanuel Planque, Michael Russell, Brad Stine, James Trotman

Malisse led Alexei Popyrin to the first Masters 1000 title of his career at the Canadian Open, and the fourth round of the US Open as well. Russell's partnership with Fritz was highly successful this year as he helped his pupil reach his maiden Major final at the US Open, along with two titles and a new career-high of No. 4.

Trotman and Planque helped youngsters Draper and Meptshi Perricard establish themselves on the tour this year. Under the guidance of Stine, Tommy Paul won the biggest title of his career at Queen's Club, and a total of three titles this year.

Darren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi, the coaches of Sinner, were surprisingly not nominated in this category. Given the 23-year-old's incredible season, it was a glaring omission.
