Darcis in awe of inspired Goffin
David Goffin produced some of the best tennis of his career as Belgium defeated Australia to reach the Davis Cup final, according to his team-mate Steve Darcis.
Goffin could do no wrong as he came from a set down to beat Nick Kyrgios on indoor clay in Brussels, before Darcis saw off Jordan Thompson in straights.
Belgium, who lost the 2015 decider to Britain, will take on France in the second final in the space of three years.
"This is a big win for me, a big win for us," Darcis said.
"David [Goffin] did an unbelievable job this weekend. During the week he was not sure [if he could] play and today he played like a top-five player. I've never seen him play as good like this. I'm really happy I could finish this one.
"Australia have some impressive young players and I think they will be tough to play in the future.
"France is the final we all dream about. We were speaking about this a few weeks ago, and I think they feel the same so it's going to be amazing for us to be again in the final.
"Hopefully this time we can take it home."
He's helped them past, and this year.

Goffin added: "It's the best match of my Davis Cup career. I was solid on the baseline and so happy to go to the decisive match.
"It's a huge difference to play in my country and on clay. For his [Kyrgios'] serve it's a little bit easier to return but it's never easy to finish a match. To finish with an ace, it's a perfect finish."
France enjoyed a swifter passage through the semi-finals, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga beating Dusan Lajovic in four sets to seal a 3-1 triumph.
"It's unbelievable for my team," he said.
"It's the third time for me and it's great to take your country and put them on top of the world.
"I think my opponent did a great job, he was solid, he didn't give me opportunities in the court, but I tried to make him play a little bit more and make it more physical.
"It's a new opportunity to get the trophy, that's it. We are just really happy."
