Taylor Fritz vs Miomir Kecmanovic preview
Top seed Taylor Fritz will take on fourth seed Miomir Kecmanovic in the final of the 2023 Delray Beach Open.
The seventh-ranked Fritz has had an imperious campaign in the ATP 250 event, negotiating three rounds without dropping a set. In the semifinals on Saturday, the 2022 Wimbledon quarterfinalist beat his compatriot Mackenzie McDonald in a second-set tiebreak to improve to 10-3 on the season.
Meanwhile, Kecmanovic has had an outstanding campaign of his own as well. The World No. 33 has taken a more scenic route to the title match than Fritz.
After sailing through the first two rounds with straight-set wins, Kecmanovic faced a stern challenge against 2019 champion Radu Albut before registering his 100th singles win.
The 23-year-old regrouped from the loss of the second set to reach his second ATP Tour final (first since 2020 Kitzbuehel, which he won) to improve to 7-4 in 2023. Kecmanovic faces a stern challenge to win his second singles title, though.
Taylor Fritz vs Miomir Kecmanovic head-to-head
The two players have clashed three times previously, with all three meetings coming on hardcourt.
Fritz leads their head-to-head 2-1, prevailing in the 2019 Atalanta and 2022 Indian Wells quarterfinals. Kecmanovic, though, took their last meeting - 2022 Miami Open Round of 16.

Taylor Fritz vs Miomir Kecmanovic prediction
Fritz is eyeing his first title of the year after losing in the Dallas Open semifinals to eventual winner Wu Yibing last week.
The American is coming off a disappointing second-round defeat at the Australian Open in January. Meanwhile, Kecmanovi has found form in Delray Beach after opening-round exits in Dallas and the Australian Open to reach his third career singles final.
The two players have a similar style of play - moving and serving well and hitting powerfully from the baseline off either flank. However, Fritz's superior experience and pedigree should stand him in good stead.
The American has looked imperious this week as he hopes to return to the winner's podium since winning his fourth singles title in Tokyo last year.
Prediction: Frtiz to win in straight sets.
