From Coco Gauff's cozy fall streetwear to Naomi Osaka's striking red mini dress: Top 5 looks of the week

December is a laid-back month tennis-wise, but the likes of Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff are making sure that they stay connected with their fans. Both players shared pictures from their weekend plans on social media.

Osaka and Gauff went with two completely different looks, showing that winter might as well be the time to experiment when it comes to fashion.

The two were joined by a few other notable names who pitched in with their own fashion statement. Here, we take a look at five top looks that members of the tennis family shared with us over the last week:

#5 Taylor Fritz's jersey switch

Making the most of the off-season, Taylor Fritz switched jerseys, ditching his Boss tennis line for Los Angeles Chargers No. “1” jersey.

A professional American football team, the Los Angeles Chargers are a member of the American Football Conference West division and compete in the widely watched National Football League.

Fritz, a California native himself, was out and about supporting his home team in the bright blue jersey featuring gold thunderbolt heat-sealed graphics. The mesh side panels make room for extra breathability, making it a utilitarian buy, while the sewn-on National Football League Shield at the collar sells it for sporting fans.

#4 Petra Kvitova's tropical ensemble

Petra Kvitova has not played any tennis in 2024 at all. The two-time former Wimbledon champion has been away on maternity leave, having welcomed son Petr to the family earlier in July this year.

The Czech, however, was in her element celebrating her off-season with the rest of the tennis fraternity. She chose a family trip, with son Petr and coach-turned-husband Jiri Vanek, to the scenic island nation of Maldives to cap off her year.

Kvitova spent her time taking strolls by the beach with her family and hitting the tennis courts for some casual hits. Throughout, her wardrobe matched the tropical vibes. Her flared dress with a flower print that she wore to her yacht ride was definitely worth a second look.

#3 Morgan Riddle's 'The Ice Queen'

Morgan Riddle’s latest look could well see her replace Elena Rybakina as the tennis world’s ice queen.

The fashion influencer, who is often spotted in the stands during boyfriend Taylor Fritz’s matches, donned an all-white winter look during what looks like a skiing vacation to the Aspen mountains.

Riddle posted photographs from her trip with friends. She can be seen in an all-white ensemble, pairing her pants with a fur-heavy jumper and statement hat. She complimented the look with white snow shoes and black and gold sunglasses.

#2 Coco Gauff's cozy fall streetwear

Coco Gauff’s 2024 season ended on a high note. Having failed to add another Grand Slam title to her list of achievements, she got her consolation by taking home the WTA Finals crown.

The youngster, who clocked in a lot of hours on court towards the back end of the season, is now enjoying some well-deserved time off.

Gauff was recently spotted posing for pictures in her casual fall outfit, which included loose camel pants and a brown bomber jacket. The upper featured color-blocked panels with distinct fall patterns that are just right for the season.

#1 Naomi Osaka's striking red mini dress

Taking the cake with the outfit of the week is four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka, who chose a red minidress for her weekend plans.

The Japanese tennis star, who played her first full season in 2024 after returning from her maternity leave last year, shared a quick fit check on her social media handles.

Osaka looked striking in the minidress that featured swirls resembling small red roses all over the skirt. She layered her look with a black cardigan with beige color blocks and a mini purse. Another standout feature in the entire look was the matching stilettos featuring roses and more red ribbons.
