Andrey Rublev vs Cameron Norrie preview
Sixth seed Andrey Rublev will take on World No. 12 Cameron Norrie in the fourth round of the 2023 BNP Paribas Open on Tuesday.
A straight-sets win over Jiri Lehecka sent Rublev into the third round, where he faced Ugo Humbert. The Russian trailed 3-0 in the first set, but dug deep to level the score.
With momentum on Rublev's side, he swept the last three games of the set as well to take it. He started the second set by breaking Humbert's serve and backing it up with a hold to make it 2-0.
The 25-year-old remained in front until the end of the match. With Humbert serving to stay in the match at 5-3, Rublev broke his opponent's serve one last time to win the contest 7-5, 6-3.
Norrie, meanwhile, knocked out Wu Tung-lin to set up a third-round date with Taro Daniel. The opening set was a closely contested affair, with the Japanese coming out on top in the tie-break.
Daniel led 4-1 in the second set, but Norrie bagged the next four games to go 5-4 up. The Brit failed to close out the set at that point, but claimed the next couple of games to clinch the set.
Norrie broke his opponent's serve twice to lead 3-0 in the final set. Daniel put up a fight by winning the next two games, but the Brit reeled off the next three games to complete a 6-7 (5), 7-5, 6-2 comeback win.

Andrey Rublev vs Cameron Norrie prediction
Norrie staged quite the escape act to make it past Daniel in the previous round. He raised his level in the nick of time and finished the match with 50 winners to 25 unforced errors.
Rublev had a relatively easy time against Humbert and while he was tested a fair bit, he managed to dictate the proceedings for the better part of the match. He has a winning record against Norrie, but the Brit is a former Indian Wells champion.
Rublev might find it tough to outhit Norrie in these conditions as the latter's counterpunching tactics could reign supreme. The Brit is also on a seven-match winning streak at the moment and given his form, he'll be favored to make it through this clash.
Pick: Cameron Norrie to win in three sets.
