Daniil Medvedev vs Holger Rune prediction
Rune has produced some very good performances lately and will be brimming with confidence after defeating the likes of Novak Djokovic and Casper Ruud. Medvedev hasn't been the best player on clay but has looked in good nick for a while now. So, he cannot be written off.
Medvedev has served 24 aces so far at the Italian Open and will aim to serve more of those against Rune. The Russian has served 107 winners while producing only 54 unforced errors. His composure will be crucial if he is to come out on top.
Rune hit 137 winners compared to a measly 47 unforced errors so far in Rome. The Dane will look to be aggressive from the start and his on-court movement will come in very handy as well.
Considering the recent form of both players as well as their fiery temperament, we could be in for a thrilling and entertaining clash at the Foro Italico. It will be hard to say who will come out on top but Medvedev might just about manage to come out on top.
Pick: Medvedev to win in three sets.
