Leander Paes will be at the International Premier Tennis League!

After an extremely successful last season, the IPTL is back again, for another power packed season.

Following its launch in November 2014, there has been a tremendous response for the tennis league, especially in Asia. The last season opened with a match between two titans of tennis – Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. While the match was everything that was promised fans, it began the league on a high note, and set the tone for the rest of the league.

The league is now finally about to commence! Last year's teams will make another appearance, including the Philippine Mavericks, Indian Aces, UAE Royals and Singapore Slammers, and this league will also see the addition of a new team, the Japan Warriors.

While the league has gotten bigger, so have the players. This season will see many of contemporary tennis' top players and living legends clash on court. With big names like Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Kei Nishikori, Maria Sharapova, Rafael Nadal and many more, the league will also see fresh talent from all over the world come together for the love of the game.

Some of the Indians playing at the IPTL include Sania Mirza, Rohan Bopanna and Leander Paes, the veteran tennis player who put India firmly on the world tennis radar.

Paes will be making a return to the International Premier Tennis League again, playing for the Japan Warriors. He will be on court alongside the best in the game, including 5-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova, talented Japanese ace Kei Nishikori, the subtle Kurumi Nara, the understated Marat Safin and Lucas Pouille, and Vasek Pospisil and Daniela Hantuchova. Paes, who is known for being a formidable doubles opponent along with his longstanding partner on the court, Mahesh Bhupathi, will be giving his all, like he has for every tennis match.

Having played with over 100 partners in doubles tennis, Paes is known all over the tennis world for being a seasoned veteran of the game. Winning 16 Grand Slam titles in his career, eight of which were in men's doubles and eight in mixed doubles, he has had a successful career as a doubles star, and has been a legend at the Davis Cup.

Currently at the US Open, Paes is on his way to another win, and we couldn't be prouder of the tennis star. We're looking forward to his time at the International Premier Tennis League along with the Japan Warriors, and Maria Sharapova!
