Former Top 10 player Cameron Norrie will face local favorite Benjamin Bonzi in the final of the 2024 Moselle Open. Norrie, who is currently ranked 17, is attempting to return to the highest rungs of men's tennis once more. The 2024 season has been a mediocre one for the Brit as he has a 17-17 win/loss record coming into the Moselle Open. This is the first final for the 29-year-old left-handed player since the 2023 Rio Open, where he defeated Carlos Alcaraz for the title.

At Metz, Norrie started by coming from being a set down against Roberto Carballes Baena in the first round, winning 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. He then played another tricky three-set match against Luca Van Assche in the second round, winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. In the quarterfinal, he won 6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-1 against Zizou Bergs. His most impressive performance came in the semifinal, where he won 6-2, 7-6 (5) against Corentin Moutet.

The 2024 Moselle Open is turning out to be a great end for Benjamin Bonzi's season. The French player has not registered a single win on the Tour in 2024, losing all his six matches coming into this competition. However, he has shown great resolve and reached his third career final.

The World No. 124 went past the likes of Marc-Andrea Husler and Manuel Guinard in the qualifiers. Once in the main draw, he defeated former World No. 9 Roberto Bautista Agut 7-6 (3), 6-3 in the first round. The Frenchman secured another high-profile win in the second round, winning 6-4, 6-4 against World No. 7 and second seed Casper Ruud.

In the quarterfinal, Bonzi dispatched countryman Quentin Halys 6-3, 7-6 (1). In the semifinal, he caused another upset, winning against eighth-seeded Alex Micheslen 4-6, 6-0, 7-5.

In his semifinal against Corentin Moutet, Norrie won 65 percent of his service points and 46 percent of his return points. The Brit hit 28 winners and 13 unforced errors. The first-serve percentage was a subpar 61 percent, but the British player made amends for that, winning 75 percent of his second-serve points. He also came to the net extensively, winning 25 of the 38 points approach points.

In his previous match against Alex Michelsen, Bonzi won 65 percent of his service points and 46 percent of his return points. The Frenchman hit 37 winners to his 25 unforced errors. His returning game was excellent as he broke his opponent's serve six times in the match.

Norrie had the experience of playing in big matches, and Bonzi has lost both his Tour-level finals so far. The British player's mix of baseline shots and net approaches make him the favorite against the crowd favorite.
