Neither player got close to a break point for most of the second set and it looked like the set was headed to a tie-break. With Fucsovics serving to stay in the match at 6-5, Rune broke his serve to win the contest 6-3, 7-5.
Schwartzman, too, received a first-round bye and faced Yibing Wu in the second round. The Argentine trailed 4-2 in the first set, but managed to get back on serve. He had to save a couple of set points on his own serve to make it 5-5.
Schwartzman then came out on top in the ensuing tie-break to claim the opener. He dominated the second set, dropping just one game to win the match 7-6(1), 6-1.

Holger Rune vs Diego Schwartzman prediction
Schwartzman's second-round win over Wu was just his third of the year. The first set was a close affair and once he managed to secure that, it was smooth sailing for him.
Rune was tested a fair bit by Fucsovics, but managed to subdue his opponent with some fine tennis. The teenager blasted 24 winners while committing just eight unforced errors. He also won 81% of his first-serve points and didn't drop his serve even once.
Schwartzman has been in dire form all year, with quite a few tough losses. He'll need to step up his game considerably if he wants to challenge Rune. The Argentine's court coverage used to be a massive asset, but he's a step slower these days.
Schwartzman is also having trouble keeping up with big-hitters from the baseline these days. Rune will prove to be a tough nut to crack, considering he has been quite solid this season. The Danish youngster has the goods to outplay his older opponent in their upcoming Miami duel.
Pick: Holger Rune to win in straight sets.
