Jannik Sinner vs Grigor Dimitrov preview
Jannik Sinner and Grigor Dimitrov are set to clash in the third round of the 2023 Miami Open on Sunday.
Sinner was up against World No. 58 Laslo Djere in the second round. The Italian got broken to trail 4-3 in the first set, but then bagged the next three games in a row to claim the set.
He then secured an early break of serve to go 3-0 up in the second set. Djere put up a fight by taking the next couple of games to make it 3-2. However, Sinner then went on another three-game run to win the match 6-4, 6-2.
Meanwhile, Dimitrov faced qualifier Jan-Lennard Struff in the second round. The latter broke first in the opening set to go 4-2 up. The Bulgarian had a few opportunities to get back on serve, but was unable to capitalize on them and went on to lose the set.
The second set was decided via a tie-break, with Dimitrov taking it to level the proceedings. A single break of serve in the third set, which went his way, sealed the match in Dimitrov's favor as he wrapped up a 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 comeback victory.

Jannik Sinner vs Grigor Dimtrov prediction
Dimitrov played a fantastic match to quell a spirited challenge from Struff in the previous round.
His serve played a huge role in his victory as he fired 23 aces and won 83% of his first serve points. The only concerning aspect of Dimitrov's performance was his break point conversion as went 1/10 on them.
Sinner, meanwhile, recorded a rather straightforward win over Djere in the second round. Despite a few hiccups, the young Italian was never in danger of being eliminated.
Both are capable of going toe-to-toe with each other from the back of the court. Sinner has developed into an elite ballstriker, looking to land the killer blow with his backhand. Nevertheless, Dimitrov is still a tough competitor to subdue.
Should the Bulgarian replicate his form from the previous round, he could give Sinner a run for his money. Anything less than Dimitrov's best would lead to a win for the Italian, who has played really well all season long so far.
Pick: Jannik Sinner to win in three sets.
