Milos Raonic triumphs at Thailand Open
Canada’s Milos Raonic was crowned the champion at the Thailand Open after he defeated top-seed Tomas Berdych 7-6 (4), 6-3 in the final.
Berdych managed to gain a set point in the first set but failed to capitalize as Raonic produced powerful serves to claim the set on a tie-break. Raonic carried his powerful serves into the second set and eased passed Berdych and thus maintaining his unbeaten record over Berdych. This is Raonic’s fifth tour title adding to three in San Jose and one in Chennai.
Meanwhile, in the doubles final, third-seeded Jamie Murray and John Peers defeated fourth-seeded Tomasz Bednarek and Johan Brunstrom 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 to claim the title.
