India’s Sumit Nagal and France’s Corentin Moutet are all set to face each other in Round 32 of the Moselle Open 2024. The Les Arenes de Metz in France will host the contest on Sunday, November 3.
Nagal has not had the best of times of late. Back in July, he achieved his career-best ATP ranking of No.68, but since then, he has had his fair share of troubles. The ace Indian crashed out in the first round of the Stockholm Open after which he could not go beyond the qualifiers at Swiss Indoors and Paris Masters.
Nagal also pulled out of India’s Davis Cup tie against Sweden after saying that he did not want to aggravate the injury. With the 2024 season set for its last stage, Nagal will be looking to chip in with some decent performance and go into 2025 on a high.
Moutet, on the other hand, has been in better form compared to Nagal. Last month in the Paris Masters, he made USA’s Ben Shelton toil hard in the Round of 64 clash. Moutet won the second set in a thrilling tie-breaker, but fell short in the third to lose the match 3-6, 7-6 (10-8), 3-6.
