Murray conqueror Coric crashes out in Lyon
Borna Coric came back down to earth with a bump at the Lyon Open on Sunday as he crashed out in the first round.
Coric stunned world number one Andy Murray last week at the Madrid Open but was on receiving end of a shock as he lost in three sets to Nikoloz Basilashvili.
After losing the first set, Coric saved seven match points in the second to force a decider, but was broken to love at 1-1 as Basilashvili claimed a 6-4 5-7 6-4 win.
Home hope Benoit Paire also fell at the first hurdle in the inaugural edition of the ATP Tour 250 tournament, the eighth seed defeated as Jordan Thompson came from behind to triumph 6-7 (3-7) 7-6 (7-5) 6-4.
Meanwhile, at the Geneva Open, Andrey Kuznetsov beat Thomaz Bellucci 3-6 6-4 6-1.
