French Open 2015: Andy Murray through to third round
Andy Murray, ranked 3rd in the world, advanced to the third round of the French Open beating Portugal's Joao Sousa 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Murray started with a bang as he broke Sousa’s serve after having four break points in the opening game. The No. 3 seed broke again in the seventh game before serving out the set.
Murray looked out of sorts in the second set and paid the price when Sousa broke him and levelled the match. After saving a couple of break points in the fourth game of the third set, Murray broke Sousa’s serve to go 4-3 up. He did not let Sousa back into the set as he wrapped it up in the tenth game.
Murray broke Sousa’s serve in the opening game of the fourth set with a forehand winner and broke again in the third game before going 4-0 up. The Scot wrapped up the match in the seventh game to book a place in the Round of 32.
Murray, who won two clay tournaments -- Munich and Madrid -- this year, will play against Australian Nick Kyrgios in the third round of Roland Garros. Kyrgios qualified after his British opponent Kyle Edmund withdrew from the tournament.
