"Absolutely insane" - Coco Gauff lost for words after Tyler, The Creator mentions American superstar in new single of upcoming album 'Chromakopia'

Coco Gauff got a pleasant surprise on Saturday morning with the release of rapper Tyler, The Creator's new single 'Thought I Was Dead.' The single, the third released track of his upcoming album 'Chromakopia' included a reference to the American superstar that left her lost for words.

Taking to social media on October 26, Tyler teased the new song track. One of the earlier verses mentioned Gauff and the former US Open champ's serving prowess, with the rapper saying:

"B**ch, you ain't Coco Gauff, you can't serve me."

Gauff, a noted fan of Tyler, was among the millions of fans who eagerly clicked on the post. As expected, the 20-year-old was elated and quickly shared the video on her Instagram stories and expressed her surprise at the unexpected mention.

"Me finishing practice to being mentioned on a Tyler song. This is absolutely insane," Gauff wrote.

Gauff also commented under the original video, expressing a similar sentiment.

"me waking up today on tyler song wtf," Gauff commented.

Coco Gauff has previously spoken up about the role of music in her life, stating that she likes listening to it whenever she's doing anything, especially during workouts in the gym.

"Not necessarily an exercise. I just like to listen to music, while doing whatever I’m doing. Yeah, I mean, the bike is calming. It gets repetitive for me, so I do switch it up, between the treadmill and the bike but, as long as I have music, I think it’s the most relaxing," Gauff said in a video for the USTA.

Interestingly, the World No. 3's boyfriend, whose identity has been kept under wraps until now, is an aspiring music student, as confirmed by the American herself in an interview with Vogue magazine earlier this year.

“He’s a very nice guy. He’s in school now. He’s about to apply for music school. He wants to be an actor, and he plays the guitar. He’s not from Delray. He’s actually from Atlanta," Gauff revealed.
