Alexander Zverev and his girlfriend Sophia Thomalla likely headed to Turin ahead of ATP Finals 2024
Alexander Zverev and his girlfriend Sophia Thomalla are likely headed to Turin, Italy, for the 2024 ATP Finals, which is scheduled to commence on November 10. The World No. 2 will be on the hunt for his third title at the year-end championships, having previously emerged victorious in 2018 and 2021.
Speaking to the press after his 2024 Paris Masters triumph, Zverev expressed his ambition to finish his season strong at the ATP Finals, highlighting the "special" atmosphere of the event with only the top eight players of the season in contention.
"Yeah, I mean, I'm looking forward to one last tournament, Turin, this year. Yeah, hopefully I can finish the season strong," Alexander Zverev said.
"I think for Turin, everybody becomes motivated. It's such a special tournament. It's such a special atmosphere and feeling when you're there and only eight players in the world are there," he added.
Alexander Zverev will aim to improve upon his performance from last year's year-end championships. Although the German defeated Carlos Alcaraz and Andrey Rublev in the group stage in Turin, he failed to advance to the semifinals since he had dropped more sets than Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz, who also won two round-robin matches each.
