Andy Murray and Liam Broady engaged in fun banter after the latter expressed excitement about the upcoming tennis exhibition event, Six Kings Slam. Murray shot down Broady's excitement claiming that no one cares about an exhibition event.

The Six Kings Slam exhibition, featuring Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune, is set to take place from October 16-19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A recent over five-minute promotional video shared on social media has garnered praise from fans for its impressive production quality. The six players were portrayed magnificently, catching the attention of British tennis player Liam Broady, who reposted the video on X, expressing his excitement for the event.

"Speechless as to how damn cool this promo is. Probably best I’ve ever seen in tennis. Would watch this movie. 10/10," Broady wrote on X.

Three-time Grand Slam champion, Murray, who is known to engage in fun banter with Broady on X, wrote:

"Except it’s not a movie and you won’t watch it because it’s an exhibition tennis event that nobody cares about 👍," Murray wrote.

Broady joined the fun and asked his compatriot why he was so negative.

"Omfg man why you so negative," Broady responded.

On October 16, the opening day of the exhibition, the quarterfinals will feature Carlos Alcaraz against Holger Rune, and Daniil Medvedev taking on Jannik Sinner.

The winners will advance to the semifinals on October 17, joining Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, who received a bye. The event will conclude with the final on October 19.

Liam Broady participated in the 2024 Atlanta Open qualifiers and his experience ahead of his first game at the ATP 250 event, on July 20, was not one to remember. He was disappointed with the facilities and took to X to express his displeasure.

"First match at 10am today so have to warm up at 8:30. Breakfast doesn’t open till 9am? Walked into player area and we’ve got… bagels. Really good for a high standard of tennis and tennis tournament in Atlanta," he wrote on X.

Andy Murray hilariously retorted to the complaint:

"Hope you are ok mate. That sounds terrible. Surprised you hadn’t checked the breakfast situation ahead of time like most professionals would have done," Andy Murray wrote.

Broady was not far behind with snarky responses as he wrote:

"You have five people just to wipe your bum for you man you’ve never checked a situation ahead of time in your life we are not the same," Broady responded.

Broady faced a defeat against qualifying top-seed Shang Juncheng in three sets on July 20. More recently, the World No. 481 has been participating in Challenger events in France.
