Andre Agassi receives a touching tribute from Alexander Zverev's brother Mischa: "You inspired me with your heart"
Alexander Zverev’s brother Mischa paid tribute to Andre Agassi, crediting him for inspiring his childhood with his iconic groundstrokes. The German also shared a few heartwarming pictures of him and the American smiling together.
Mischa is an active tennis player and has had a modest career compared to his brother Alexander. His most notable achievements include reaching the quarterfinals of the 2017 Australian Open in singles and claiming his sole ATP title at the 2018 Eastbourne International.
On Wednesday, December 4, Mischa shared an Instagram post expressing how deeply Agassi inspired him with his kind heart and gameplay. He revealed that, as a child, he always dreamed of hitting groundstrokes like the eight-time Grand Slam champion.
Mischa Zverev wrote:
“You inspired me with your game, with your style and with your heart….. I ended up playing a bit more serve and volley thank I thought I would as a child but when I was little I always wanted to hit ground strokes like you:) @agassi @ispo.acceleratingsports.”
"You are my enemy" - Andre Agassi & Steffi Graf to Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard ahead of Pickleball Slam 3
The much-awaited Pickleball Slam 3 is set to take place at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, on February 16, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST. Featuring four legendary tennis icons battling it out for a whopping $1M prize, the event will also be broadcast live on ESPN for fans to enjoy.
Andre Agassi and his wife Steffi Graf will take on Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard in the upcoming event. Before that, Agassi and Graf jokingly warned their opponents that they’ll be treated as “enemies” once the match begins.
"We just want you to know, Andy and Genie, that to us, you’ll always be family," the power couple traded lines.
Agassi referred to Roddick as his “younger brother,” while Graf reminisced about the time she spent with Bouchard in Vegas. However, they made it clear that all friendships will be put aside on February 16.
"Andy, you’ve been like a younger brother to me," Andre Agassi said.
"And Genie, you spent time down here in Las Vegas with us," Graf continued.
"But on February 16, you are the enemy. Can’t wait to see you," they said.
