"Another bestseller" - Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian lauds Venus Williams' new book, sister-in-law responds with gratitude

Serena Williams' husband, Alexis Ohanian, recently lauded Venus Williams for her new book, Strive. The Reddit founder recently organized the first-ever edition of the Athlos NYC, which is a women's-only track and field event and was held on September 26, 2024, at the Icahn Stadium.

Ohanian's meet, Athlos NYC, consisted of six major events, which included 200m, 100m, 100m hurdles, 800m, 400m, and 1500m. Along with this, it featured multiple renowned athletes and also a performance by Megan Thee Stallion. Along with this, the meet also showcased terrific showdowns between Gabby Thomas and Brittany Brown in the 200m and between Masai Russell and Jasmine Camacho-Quinn in the 100m hurdles.

Days after the success of the event, Ohanian took to Instagram to commend William's new book, 'Strive', which was released in September 2024. He shared a picture of himself holding the book on his Instagram story and wrote:

"@Venuswilliams with another bestseller."

Williams re-posted his story on her Instagram and wrote:

This book emphasizes health and wellness and carries the eight principles that Venus Williams uses to prepare herself physically, mentally, and emotionally, which are Observe, Appreciate, Balance, Enrich, Soothe, Believe, Inspire, and Strive.


Venus Williams shared details about her new book, 'Strive'

Venus Williams recently sat in a conversation with People magazine, where she opened up about her motto behind publishing the book, 'Strive.' She revealed that with this book, she wished to share the intricacies of her journey that helped her grow in her "own wellness and nutrition journey."

"As an athlete, I know the perseverance and consistency it takes to accomplish your goals and get true results," said Venus Williams. "With STRIVE, my goal is to share the tips and tricks that helped me in my own personal wellness and nutrition journey.”

She added:

"These are the tools that kept me from burning out on a lifestyle that I wanted and believed in, a lifestyle that helped me feel confident, powerful and capable.”

Venus Williams' first book, 'Come to Win,' was published in 2010, and 'Strive' is her second publishing with Harper Collins. In 2024, she played two tournaments, which included the Indian Wells Masters and the Miami Open. The last match played by her was on March 19, 2024, at the Miami Open, where she unfortunately experienced an early exit in the first round itself. She competed against the likes of Diana Shnaider, where the latter dominated the match with a score line of 6-3, 6-3.

She faced the same fate during the Indian Well Masters as well, which she played on March 19. Here, she was bested by Nao Hibino, with the score line of 2-6, 6-3, 6-0.
