"Another entitled white male p***k" - Martina Navratilova fumes at Senator-elect Jim Banks after comments on deporting undocumented migrants

Martina Navratilova criticized United States Senator-elect Jim Banks for his recent comments about deporting undocumented immigrants as Republican Donald Trump prepares to begin his second term as president.

Banks joined CNN’s Inside Politics with Dana Bash on Friday, November 8. One of the significant topics of conversation was Trump's policies regarding immigrants. Banks, the U.S. representative for Indiana's 3rd congressional district, outlined a mass deportation plan as a priority for President Trump’s upcoming term.

The Republican stated their goal is to deport "every single" undocumented immigrant, starting with violent offenders but ultimately aiming to include all undocumented individuals, regardless of their societal contributions or family ties to American citizens.

"The American people spoke loud and clear on Tuesday. They gave this president and Republicans a mandate to do everything that we can. The goal should be to deport every illegal in this country that we can find… So, you start with the violent criminals," Banks said.
"Americans are counting on President Trump and Republicans to send them back to reduce violent crime in this country. But I think the goal has to be, and the American people expect it to be, to deport those who came here illegally," he added.

A video of Bash’s interview with the Senator-elect was uploaded on X, showing Banks making these statements. Navratilova, who had endorsed Democrat Kamala Harris in the recent election, reshared the video and commented:

"Another entitled spoiled rotten white male p…k who thinks he is the boss"

Further, in his interview, Banks addressed the logistics of a mass deportation plan, acknowledging it could be "costly" but asserting it's essential to "return sanity" to the United States. He added that local law enforcement, including Indiana sheriffs, is "ready" to support the effort.

Martina Navratilova has been a vocal critic of Donald Trump and his policies during the past few weeks. She endorsed Kamala Harris and believed things in the United States would be "better" under the Democrat leader. However, Trump won the 2024 presidential elections and is set for a second term in office.

The American tennis icon penned a stinging message to the American voters claiming that "fear and anger won."

"A country that was born as a racist patriarchy proved beyond any reasonable doubt it still is a racist patriarchy," she wrote on X.

In a heated exchange under this post, a commenter argued with Navratilova for understanding Trump supporters' motivations beyond "hate" and "fascism." However, the former World No. 1 maintained that many voters embraced Trump for his "racism and fascism."

"What I am saying some voted for trump because of his racism and fascism and some, most, voted for him despite his racism and fascism. Strong men, how repulsive they might be personally, seem to be the in thing these days," Navratilova wrote.

The 2024 presidential elections were held on Tuesday, November 5, with Republican candidate Trump registering a win. He will be sworn in as the 47th President of the USA in January 2025.
