Aryna Sabalenka gushes over Paula Badosa's latest photoshoot, Spaniard returns compliment
Paula Badosa and Aryna Sabalenka recently exchanged compliments over the former's new photoshoot.
Badosa, ranked No. 22 in the world, went topless in the photoshoot for a luxury haircare brand. Sabalenka was quick to compliment Badosa on her looks.
"Wow sexyyyy🔥," Sabalenka commented on Badosa's photo.
The Spaniard returned the compliment immediately by saying she was looking as good as Sabalenka herself.
"Like you❤️," she replied.
Both Paula Badosa and Aryna Sabalenka had disappointing runs at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship, losing in the Round of 64 and quarterfinals respectively. While Badosa lost to Liudmila Samsonova 7-6 (3), 6-7, 4-6, Sabalenka was ousted by Barbora Krejcikova 6-0, 7-6 (2), 1-6.
Paula Badosa and Aryna Sabalenka attempt to explain tennis' scoring system
Aryna Sabalenka and Paula Badosa, along with a few WTA players, made an appearance in the recently-released Netflix tennis documentary 'Break Point.'
In that series, the players made hilarious attempts to explain the tennis scoring system to a layman. Baodsa took a step-by-step approach, saying:
"So it's love, 15-love, 30-love, 40-love, deuce if it's 40-all, and then it's advantage. But then if you have six-all, then you have to play the tie-break. And that's one set and in a match, you have to win two. If it's one set all, you play a third one."
Sabalenka, however, gave up without even trying, before bursting into laughter.
"It's so super complicated. Doesn't matter. You will understand," she said.
Reacting to the clip, Badosa took to social media to express amusement at Sabalenka's response.
"Hahaha Sabalenka. I love your explanation. PS: It's too complicated to explain. There's no way I would explain it," she wrote.
Paula Badosa has had a challenging start to the new season. She was not at her best in the United Cup, before making a run to the semifinals of the Adelaide International 2. She then suffered an injury in Adelaide that forced her to withdraw from the Australian Open.
The 25-year-old was also forced to miss the Abu Dhabi Open, before returning to action at the Qatar Open two weeks ago. She went down to Beatriz Haddad Maia in the opening round in Doha, before losing to Samsonova in Dubai earlier this week.
Badosa will now be hoping for a good showing at Indian Wells, which gets underway on March 6.
