Aryna Sabalenka quips about "flying every day" with boyfriend Georgios Frangulis; gives him an adorable kiss as her off season begins
Aryna Sabalenka was recently seen gushing over her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, amidst the commencement of her off-season. The Belarusian player ended the 2024 season with the prestigious title of World No. 1.
Sabalenka's last tournament of the season was the WTA Finals, where she reached the semifinals after besting Qinwen Zheng, Jasmine Paolini, and Elena Rybakina in the first three rounds of the event. However, the player couldn't advance to the finals after losing the showdown with Coco Guaff in the semifinal round with a score of 7(7)-6(4), 6-3 on November 8.
Following this loss, Sabalenka concluded the season with a trophy for being the World No. 1 player. She is currently in Paris with her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, and shared a cute picture with him on her Instagram story. She posted a mirror selfie with him while giving him an adorable kiss on his cheeks. Along with this, she also added a romantic caption, which read:
"This way I can fly every day😂🙏"
The couple was at the Four Seasons George V, Paris, which is the only hotel in Europe to hold six Michelin stars.
After her loss against Gauff at the WTA Finals, the Belarusian player called the American lucky and stated that it was a match "full of missed opportunities from my side".
"Honestly, I have to say she just got lucky in those couple of points at the end of the first set, and I kind of got distracted and let the game go. And then it was too late to come back in the tiebreak, and I lost the first set," Sabalenka said, as quoted by WTA Tennis.com
She added:
"I was rushing and and not really adjusting to the ball quite well that I did in the first two matches. So I have to say that this match is just full of missed opportunities from my side."

In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Aryna Sabalenka once opened up about how her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, has been one of her biggest supporters. She revealed that he always cheered and took care of her, during her toughest times.
"There was a really tough period where I was really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we were doing some fun stuff," said Sabalenka.
She added:
"But I make sure I kind of forget about tennis and focus on the good things and enjoy my life. Even when things are going wrong in my career. So yeah, he was my biggest support, and yeah, really happy to have him by my side."
Aryna Sabalenka started dating Georgios Frangulis in early 2024.
