Ben Shelton in agony as American's Cadillac Escalade's parts inexplicably go missing

Ben Shelton recently discovered that a set of parts had gone missing from his Cadillac Escalade. Shelton went on to share his shock at his discovery and assumed that the parts were stolen.

The Cadillac Escalade, manufactured by General Motors and marketed by Cadillac, the automobile manufacturer's luxury division, is a full-size luxury SUV that was launched in 1999. Built in Arlington, Texas, the Escalade is sold only in select international markets, including North America.

On Thursday, December 12, Ben Shelton took to his Instagram Stories to share an image of one of the tyres of his Cadillac Escalade. The tyre was missing an air cap. Through a written caption, Shelton revealed that all four of the air caps on his Escalade's wheels were gone. The 22-year-old's hunch was that an unknown person had stolen the air caps.

"Someone stole all 4 of my air caps," Shelton wrote as the caption on the Instagram Story.

On the tennis front, Shelton had a decent 2024, finishing the year as the World No. 21, with a 42-26 win-loss record. He also won his second ATP Tour-level title this year at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships in Houston after beating compatriot Frances Tiafoe in the final. At the Majors, Shelton's best performance came at the Wimbledon Championships, where he reached the fourth round.

Shelton and others were given Cadillac Escalades to drive around in during the 2024 Cincinnati Open. The American had hilariously complained about a player's parking skills.

At this year's Cincinnati Open, all players across the men's and women's singles main draws were given individual Cadillac Escalades to drive around the city. Ben Shelton was particularly unimpressed with a player's parking skills, and the American took to Instagram to vent his frustrations rather hilariously. The American though, refrained from naming the player.

"Bruh, I just want to say. I just pulled into the parking garage at the hotel in Cincinnati and whoever has the car No. 164, bro, you just should not have a license. I’m sorry. You shouldn’t be able to drive," Shelton said.

Shelton's 2024 season ended in disappointment at the Davis Cup, where he lost to Australia's Thanasi Kokkinakis in singles, and also suffered a defeat in doubles alongside Tommy Paul. The doubles defeat was particularly controversial as Team USA captain Bob Bryan bizarrely decided to field Shelton and Paul as a pair instead of doubles specialists Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram.
