"Best €15 spent at Roland Garros" - Sebastian Korda's girlfriend Ivana Nedved shows off her handy investment as rain wreaks havoc in American's 2R win

Sebastian Korda's girlfriend Ivana Nedved had to take special measures to protect herself from the rainy weather in Paris amid the 2024 French Open. She has been showing her support for Korda during his campaign, passionately cheering him on from the stands during his second-round win.

Korda made a strong start to his campaign at the claycourt Major with a 6-2, 7-6(4), 6-4 win over French local Harold Mayot. On Wednesday, May 29, the American took on Kwon Soon-woo in the second round, but their match was interrupted in the first set due to rain.

With play suspended for the day due to inclement weather, the duo resumed proceedings on Thursday, May 30. After enduring further rain delays, the World No. 28 eventually claimed a 6-4, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 victory to advance to the third round.

Sebastian Korda's girlfriend Ivana Nedved expressed her delight at the American's victory after suffering through "many rain showers."

"2 days and many rain showers later... 🫶," she posted on her Instagram story.

Nedved also showed off her purchase of a Roland Garros rain coat, humorously remarking that it's the best €15 she has invested, given the relentless downpour.

"Saved my day (or the last 2) This rain coat aka the best 15€ spent @Roland Garros this week considering the continuous rain," she posted further.

The upcoming clash between Sebastian Korda and Carlos Alcaraz at this year's French Open will mark a rematch of their third-round encounter at the 2022 edition of the event, where the Spaniard claimed a dominant 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 victory.

Korda recalled the clash in his post-match press conference, describing it as a "nightmare" matchup. Although the American hailed Alcaraz as one of the best claycourt players and acknowledged the difficulty of beating him, he also expressed his desire to avenge his previous loss.

"There is no doubt that Carlitos is one of the best clay court players in the world, so I am clear that it will be difficult to defeat him. Two years ago we faced each other here, also in the third round, and it was a nightmare for me. Only I hope that this time everything will be different," he said (via Punto de Break).

Carlos Alcaraz enjoys a 3-1 lead in his head-to-head against Sebastian Korda, having secured a 6-3, 6-4 victory in their most recent clash in the 2023 Queen's Club Championships semifinal.
