"Bravo" - Novak Djokovic's wife Jelena expresses pride as Team Serbia wins bronze medal in men's basketball at Paris Olympics

Novak Djokovic's wife, Jelena, recently celebrated Team Serbia's bronze medal triumph in men's basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Serbia defeated Germany 93-83 on Saturday to secure the country’s first bronze medal in the current edition of the quadrennial Games.

This win came after Serbia's narrow semifinal loss to the USA on Friday, August 9. The Serbs led for 33 minutes in the match but ultimately lost 95-91 after USA's stunning comeback led by Steph Curry's 36 points. Jelena and Djokovic both praised Team Serbia for their courageous performance in the semifinals.

Despite the setback, the Serbs kept their spirits high in the bronze medal match against the World Champions, Germany. Three-time NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic finished with 19 points, 11 assists, and 12 rebounds, making a valuable contribution to Serbia's bronze medal triumph in the Bercy Arena.

With this, Jokic joined the ranks of LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Sasha Belov as one of the few players to record a triple-double in the Olympics. 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic's wife, Jelena, later expressed joy at Team Serbia's win on X.

"Bravoooooo momci!!!!," she wrote.

Team Serbia's last Olympic medal in men's basketball came during the 2016 Rio Olympics where they took home silver after losing to the USA 96-66 in the final.
